Protest in Karwar to lift ban on sand extraction

Karwar 20 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Various associations of Taluka associated with the construction work on Monday protested at the district administration office demanding granting of permission for sand extraction for construction work here on 19th November. The protest marched from City’s Mahadevi Ground to the District collector’s office and submitted a memorandum to DC SS Nakul. The memorandum urged to lift ban on sand extraction at Kali river and also stated to establish a sand storage unit at Karwar. On this occasion the heads of various political party, contractors association, Electric and plumbers association, Tales fixers association, United Labours, Builders association and others took part in this protest.
