Protest in Bhatkal against harassment by forest officials on people staying on encroached lands

Bhatkal 2 October 2019: Taking note of the alleged harassment by the forest officials on people staying on encroached lands in various parts of the town, 'Zilla Aranya Bhumi Hakku Horatagarara Vedhike' has called for protest on October 10 in Bhatkal. According to the president of the organization Ravindra Naik, it will launch huge protest on October 10 against the harassment of people staying on encroached lands by the forest officials. Naik also noted that the people staying on these lands are not being allowed to repair and renovate their houses even after monsoon which is causing inconvenience to the people. He added that this was also one of the reasons for calling for the protest in the town.
