Protest in Badriya Colony Bhatkal over appointment of a Teacher

July 12,2016 | Rizwan Gangavali | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Local people came out in protest over non-appointment of a Local teacher for the Aangan Wadi in Badriya colony here in Bhatkal on Tuesday. A few local women rushed to the Aangan wadi in the morning and denied the authorities to open the gates of Aangan wadi and urged them to call the seniors and address the issue before being allowed to open Aangan wadi in the morning. The protesting members of the area which comes under the Jaali Panchayath, were demanding a local teacher of the surrounding be appointed at the said Aangan wadi. And felt it unnecessary to appoint teachers from other areas when the surrounding itself had some well-educated members who were capable of handling the responsibilities. They also said it is very important to appoint a local teacher for the kids to grow and get prepared for the school-life and their learning. Sources also claimed that Regional Block Education Officer and MP both were informed earlier about the demands of the local but no actions were carried out in the regard.
