The police arrested four persons while attempting to enter the premises of Jana Nudi, a two-day literary meet organised by Abhimata, at Shanti Kirana, near Nanthoor in Mangaluru on Saturday.
Hindu Jagarana Vedike members attempted to enter the hall where actor Prakash Raj was a chief guest of the programme. The police arrested four including Sharath and Subhash. They were attempting to enter the hall in a suspicious manner, said police sources.
It is said that the arrested had come to protest against Prakash Raj.
Later, speaking at the convention, Raj said "I heard a few had come for a 'japa' against me. Had I knew this before, I would have asked the police to allow them inside the hall, so that I could have had an interaction with them."
