Prophet Muhammad's birthday celebrated

Abu Dhabi, 16 February 2011 (WAM):The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf on Tuesday, celebrated at the Grand Shaikh Zayed Mosque Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) birthday.
Present were Dr Mohammed Mattar Al Ka'abi, Director General of the authority, executive directors, branch directors, staff, scholars, researchers, media persons and a number of invitees.

Al Shaikh Taleb Al Shehhi, director of the preaching department at the authority congratulated President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of other Emirates, and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on the occasion. On his part, Dr Farouq Hamada, adviser at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court said the birth of Prophet Mohammed was the beginning of a new life for humanity.
