Prominent Nawaity poet Ibrahim Kakde killed in a tragic road accident

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 19 December 2016: In a tragic road accident at Ranginkatte cross Bhatkal, prominent Nawaiti poet of the town Ibrahim Nafees Kakde lost his life while his friend and relative Farooque Siddiqua who was accompanying him on the same bike sustained injuries and is receiving treatment in a private hospital in Mangaluru. According to the sources Farooque Siddiqua was riding the bike while a speeding bike nicked their bike leaving both Farooque (68) and Ibrahim Kakde (78) floored on road. While Ibrahim Kakde fell in the middle of road, a truck coming from the other end of the road ran over him which resulted in his death on the spot. Farooque who also fell on the road had received injuries and has been shifted to Mangaluru for further treatment. Ibrahim Nafees Kakde was a prominent face in Bhatkal, and was also known for his presence at the wedding ceremonies as the representative of all the four Muslim institutions of the town.
