Bhatkal (Special Report): Mushroom is a special type of vegetable that grows naturally without seed and any kind of breeding, when the rainy season is at its peak. It is thus a 100% natural resource and growing it doesn't require any human intervention, but it's unfortunate that the prices of Mushrooms are sky high in Bhatkal.
At other places, these are available at cheaper rates but in Bhatkal it is overpriced. We should ponder over the reason for the rise of its price in Bhatkal. What is the reason that we have become a spendthrift and are paying Rs 50/- for something that was available for Rs 10? On one end, it's causing problems for the poor as it's becoming difficult for them to buy this commodity and on the other end we are recklessly inflating the market price of it.
We have become so crazy about mushrooms that we go to places like Shirali, Manki, Murudeshwar, Belke, Sagar Road, etc to purchase it.
In conclusion, if we cautiously analyze, we will come to the conclusion that the only reason for inflation in the prices of mushroom is our prodigal buying of it. We should be mindful about our extravagant spending else we will be answerable to Allaah on the day of judgement.
