President Ramanath Kovind arrives in Udupi

Udupi: President Ramanath Kovind arrived at Adi Udupi Helipad on Thursday, December 27. He was accorded a cordial welcome by diwan of Pejawar Math Raghuram Acharya in the presence of Governor Vajubhai Vala, Nagaland governor PB Acharya, Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis, SP Laxman Nimbarigi, district in-charge Minister Jayamala. Kovind arrived via a flight at Mangaluru International Airport here earlier today and proceeded towards Udupi through a helicopter. The President is in town to participate in the city to felicitate Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swami of Pejawar Adhokshaja Mutt as the seer is completing 80th year of his initiation into sainthood. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the Presidents visit. Meanwhile entry of devotees has been prohibited to Sri Krishna temple from 6am to 3pm. Source: Udayavani
