President exchanges greetings with Rulers

The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of Emirates, Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers at Diyafa Palace in Al Mushrif on Sunday.
General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, were also present.
Shaikh Khalifa received Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi of Sharjah, Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Khaimah, Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah, Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla of Umm Al Quwain and Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman.
He also received Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance; Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah; Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; Shaikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain; and Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.
The UAE President exchanged greetings and wishes with the Rulers on the UAE’s 41st National Day anniversary. They all wished Shaikh Khalifa good health to continue the march of welfare and prosperity.
Shaikh Khalifa received greetings from Shaikh Mohammed, Rulers, Shaikhs, ministers, Federal National Council (FNC) Speaker Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, FNC members, members of the Executive Council of the Abu Dhabi Emirate and senior civil and military officials.
Later, Shaikh Khalifa chaired the Supreme Federal Council meeting held at the palace.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Rulers of Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman.
Shaikh Khalifa and the Rulers reviewed during the meeting various achievements over the last 41 years since the inception of the Union. The council referred to the initiatives of the UAE President, which contributed effectively to boosting of the federation, national work and prosperity being experienced by the UAE nationals.
The President and the Rulers exchanged the greetings on the occasion of UAE’s 41st national day anniversary, stressing that the celebration of this great occasion “constitutes an important momentum to further strengthen the Union and achieve more aspirations of UAE people”.
The Rulers greeted Shaikh Khalifa, emphasising that the achievements attained over the last 41 years were the fruits of hard and sincere work of the UAE citizens. The Rulers underlined that the efforts of the UAE citizens would always be appreciated to further push the UAE forward. Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council lauded the President Merit Award 2012 in its second edition, noting that the award would have great impact on those who contribute to building of the country.
They recalled the roles of the founding fathers in building the Union, indicating that their roles and those who worked alongside them constitute a “national role model for current and future generations” to continue working for the country led by Shaikh Khalifa.
Shaikh Khalifa hosted a banquet in honour of the Supreme Federal Council Members and Rulers of Emirates, Crown Princes, other Shaikhs, ministers and senior officials.
