Prepaid coupons now for taxi users

The Dubai Taxi Corporation is now offering prepaid coupons to customers, replacing the previous blank coupons used by various corporate customers and agencies. Director of DTC Resources and Support Engineer Mansour Al Falasi said the company would be offering vouchers of 10, 20, 25, 30 and 50 dirham value, ‘in a bid to streamline services’. Manual completion by taxi drivers has been abolished, with all taxi drivers briefed about the new prepaid coupons. “The DTC deals on a regular basis with many agencies and companies like Emirates Airlines, Gulf Air, Lufthansa Airlines, Australian Consulate, Air France and KLM Airlines to provide these vouchers,” Al Falasi said. Anyone wishing to use the vouchers would need to submit an application to the Finance Section at the company’s head office and pay for the coupons in cash or bank transfer, he said.
