New Delhi: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev arrived in New Delhi on Sunday, three weeks after being evicted from the capital for his protest fast against black money. Ramdev returned to meet one of his followers, Rajbala, who was injured in the police crackdown at Ramlila Maidan on June 5.

He thanked his supporters at a press conference on Sunday evening saying that the entire world saw the injustice done to women and children at the crackdown.

On being asked about the condition of Rajbala he said that she is in such a state that if she recuperates it would be nothing short of a miracle. "If the police says they didn't hit her, then who did? She is on a ventilator. If she lives, she won't be able to walk again," he said.

Ramdev condemned the way the government reacted to his protest saying that if they suspected that he was doing something illegal then why did four ministers go to the airport to meet him when he arrived and why did the Prime Minister and Pranab Mukherjee write letters to him.

He slammed the crackdown saying that the police had been sent there to kill him.

"At Ramlila Maidan, the police did not come to arrest me, they wanted to kill me. I Won't give any evidence right now, because the case is pending with the Supreme Court," Ramdev said.

Ramdev said that the police attacked his supporters when they tried to extinguish the fire which started on the stage. He also said that the fire was caused in an attempt to kill him.

Ramdev said, "Attempt to set the stage on fire was again an attempt to kill me. They attacked my supporters who were trying to extinguish the fire."

On being asked about his aide, Balkrishna's passport, Ramdev said that the legal process was sued to obtain one for him.

"We followed the legal path to obtain his passport. Why are they blaming us and not the government agencies which issued the passport," he said.

Ramdev maintained that he was not affiliated to any political party and that if his critics have proof against his stand they should take the required action against him.

"If they accuse me of representing a political party, then why can they not take action against that party," he said.

Ramdev was evicted from his fast at Ramlila Maidan on June 5, after which he continued his fast from Patanjali Yog Peeth in Haridwar. He ended his fast after drinking juice offered by spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar on June 12.
