Police raids Ration Shop, seizes 350 liters of illegal Kerosene

Bhatkal – Police today raided ration shop near Tengingundi cross and seized 350 liters of illegal Kerosene along with an auto rickshaw loaded with the Kerosene. According to the sources, local residents are aware of illegal trading of Kerosene and other food stuffs from Govt ration shop but they were looking for some evidence to prove this. Today when they spotted an auto rickshaw loading kerosene cans, they started gathering outside shop and informed Tahsildar and police to take action against this illegal trade. On receiving the news, Bhatkal Tahsidar Dr Madhukeshwar and PSI Mr Prakash Devadiga along with other staff raided the shop and seized 350 liters of Kerosene and an auto rickshaw loaded with this Kerosene and temporarily closed the shop.
