Police arrests two chain snatchers in Mundgod

Mundgod 25 August 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Mundgod police on Friday successfully arrested two chain snatchers in connection with the an chain-snatching incident which was reported on August 19 by a woman at Mundgod police station, the duo was arrested from Attiveri of Mundgod on August 24. The detained has been identified as Isaq Ahmed Sutaar and Asfaq Attar, both residents of Hubbali. On August 19, a woman had registered a case at Mundgod police station about chain-snatching incident at TDP road of the Taluka where a chain was snatched off her neck. Uttara Kannada SP and Dy.SP supervised the investigations of the case and CPI Kiran Kumar arrested the two during the investigations, upon enquiring, the duo admitted to the crime and returned the snatched chain. The police also seized a bike, face mask and a knife from them. Police personnel Ashok Rathod, Shivraj Chavana, Raghu Naik, Bhagavan Gaokar, Vinod and Shivanand were also part of the operation.
