Police arrest five men for drug peddling

Bengaluru: Five persons, including a BBA student, who were selling drugs to students and software employees, were recently nabbed by the Koramangala Police.
The arrested accused have been identified as Manikanth of Vishakapatnam, S Lakshman alias Arjun of Bellary, Juber Shasha of Annasebdrapalya and Shivprasad of Rajajinagar.
According to the police, Shreyas, a former engineering student who is now doing his BBA, was introduced to Shivaprasad by one of his classmates. Shreyas then began buying drugs from Shivaprasad and gradually became a drug peddler. He soon discontinued his engineering studies and took up a BBA course.
"The main accused, Manikanth and Lakshman were working on commission basis. They would buy drugs from Visakhapatnam and sell it to Shivprasad and his team in Whitefield. After taking Shreyas, Juber and Shivparsad into custody, we made them call Manikanth and Lakshman and trapped them, " the police explained.
