People flock to see Lord Shankar's illustration on a Rock

Bhatkal - 15 Feb 2011: As the news of Lord Shankar's illustration on a rock in Purvarga was flashed on Sunday evening, people started gathering at the place. Some started offering poojas while some right wing activists started erecting a small temple like structure on that rock. According to the sources, this black rock was found on a land belonging to Mr Sadullah Damda at a hillock in Purvarga.

According to local residents, this kind of black rock with Shivling, Sun and Moon are readily seen in and around Chowtani but the people are not giving any importance to that rocks. They also said the presence of such rock here has become the center of attraction because some anti-social elements are behind this and it is a plot to grab the land. They said.

Meanwhile Police along with Department of ASI officials visited the spot and deployed two policemen there.
