Peace meeting held in Bhatkal ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, Miladun Nabi(SAW)

Bhatkal: 20 August 2025 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  A peace meeting was held at the Assistant Commissioner’s office in Bhatkal under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Bhatkal and Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhatkal, ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi and Miladun Nabi (SAW) celebrations.

The meeting brought together leaders from various religious communities, the president and members of the Ganesh Committee, and officials from other government departments. Discussions focused on maintaining communal harmony and ensuring that the festivals are celebrated peacefully.

Officials stressed on the importance of cooperation among communities and the role of local leaders in promoting a safe and harmonious environment during major festivals.

The event was part of efforts by the Uttara Kannada Police to engage with the public and strengthen trust between law enforcement and community members, Uttara Kannada SP said in a statement
