Peace meeting held ahead of 'Mari Habba' in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 27 July 2019: In the wake of 'Mari habba' in Bhatkal on 30, 31 July and 01 August, Bhatkal town police on Saturday called a peace meeting with the heads of various Association and Department here at Inspection Bungalow of Bhatkal.
Speaking on the occasion Assistant Commissioner Sajjid Mulla said, "Everytime there is a religious celebration, we organise similar meetings. It has become a tradition for us. People from different community meet up and conduct this gathering for the sake of peace and harmony of the town."
 
He further added, "Each and every individual has to take up responsibility to maintain peace, harmony and law and order here and to make sure the festival is a peace one".
Namadhari samaj President MR Naik also addressed the gathering and said, "All the people of their respective community want their celebration to be held peacefully. And we have over the years done that successfully. I hope it continues in the coming days."
