Peace meet held in Bhatkal ahead of festive season

Bhatkal - 03 Nov 2011: Taluk administration yesterday organized a peace meet here at Bhatkal circuit house and discussed the arrangements for the upcoming festive season which is commencing from 7th November. On this occasion Hindu and Muslim leaders, head of Govt departments and community leaders were present.

Speaking on this occasion, Tanzeem President, Mr Parvez Kasimji said that we are hoping a peaceful Eid celebrations and for this we need cooperation from the administration and our Hindu brothers.

Additional SP, Mr Subhash Godmane appealed both communities to cooperate each other and maintain peace.

UK district's new SP, Mr Balakrishna, Bhatkal MLA, Mr J D Naik, TMC President, Mr Inayatullah Shabandri, Mr Syed Hasan Barmawar, DySP Mr M Narayan, BJP leader Mr Krishna Naik were among others who spoke on this occasion. All leaders assured full support in maintaining peace and harmony during Eid.
