Peace meet held in Bhatkal ahead of Eid Meelad and Ter Habba

Bhatkal - 02 Nov 2011: Taluk administration on Friday, 3rd February 2012 held a peace meet here at Bhatkal Circuit House and discussed the security arrangements for the upcoming Eid Meelad and Ter Habba which are coming back to back on 5th and 6th February respectively. On this occasion Hindu and Muslim leaders, head of Govt Departments and community leaders have expressed their full co-operation and appealed the people to maintain peace and communal harmony in the town.

On this occasion Bhatkal MLA - Mr J D Naik, TMC President - Mr Inayatullah Shabandri, Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner - Mr Ashok G Naik, Tahsildar - Dr Madhukeshwar, Municipal Chief - Ms Anupama, DySP - Mr M Narayan, CPI - Mr Shiva Prakash and representatives of both the communities were present.
