Peace meet held in Bhatkal ahead of Ayodhya verdict

Bhatkal - To maintain law and order in the town in the view of Ayodhya verdict, Bhatkal Police department yesterday held a peace meet here at circuit house. The meet was attended by representatives of all organizations.

Speaking on the occasion Bhatkal MLA Mr. JD Naik said, whatever judgment is coming on 24^th September, we should respect and accept the court verdict. We should maintain peace and communal harmony in the town. He also advised police department to make all necessary arrangements and detain the 1993 riot accused and keep them in a preventive custody.

Apart from this Bhatkal AC Dr Anuradha, ASP Dr. Rohini, Incharge Tahsildar Gayatri Naik and TMC President Inayatullah Shabandri have also expressed their views and appealed the people to maintain peace and support police in arresting anti social elements.

On this occasion Badrul Hassan Muallim, Surendra Shanbhag, Krishna Naik, Moulana Munawar Peshmam, Ateeequr Rahman Shabandri, Abdul Raqeeb MJ, CPI Guru Mathur, Rama Moger and others were present.
