Bhatkal - Electoral authorities in Karnataka have taken the aerial route by employing the services of a paraglider to create awareness about voting for May 5 assembly elections.
The paragliding demo, as part of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation Plan (SVEEP), was held at Mangalore today. This paraglider will help create awareness using various pamphlets and other things.
The crew after covering Mysore, Mandya, Ramanagaram, Hassan, Kodagu, Mangalore and Udupi was heading to Karwar when it halted at NH-66 Bhatkal for some duration due to which people could have a glance at it. From today onwards, it will be employed in Karwar to create awareness.
