A Palestinian was shot dead early on Wednesday by the Israeli army during clashes near the West Bank town of Ramallah, Palestinian and Israeli sources have confirmed.
Palestinian medics and security sources said Eissa al-Qotri was killed by live ammunition to the heart during stone-throwing clashes after soldiers entered Al-Amari camp on an “arrest mission”.
“Twenty-two year old Eissa al-Qotri was already dead when he arrived at the hospital,” Ahmed al-Beitawi, the head of the Ramallah medical centre, told Anadolu Agency.
Some eyewitnesses told Anadolu that a large number of Israeli troops had broken into the camp around dawn and raided homes, leading to clashes with Palestinian residents. They said Israeli troops used live ammunition and teargas during the clashes with Palestinians.
