Over-speeding truck runs over woman in Haliyal; Woman along with 26 sheep killed

Haliyal 22 November 2019: One woman died along with 26 sheep while about 30 sheep sustained injuries after an over-speeding truck ran over them here at Haliyal-Kalaghati highway on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Shobha Karighara (20), a resident of Belagavi. According to reports, Shobha was grazing her sheep when an over-speeding truck ran over her and her sheep. Driver left his truck and fled away from the spot after the incident. A case has been registered at Haliyal police station.
