Over 7000 women turned up for the ladies program at Anjuman centenary celebrations' inaugural event

Bhatkal 7 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Over 7000 women turned up for the ladies program at the Anjuman Centenary celebrations on January 6, Sunday, here at Anjumanabad to celebrate the glorious 100 years of the organisation of rendering educational services.
The organisation started by M.M. Saddique, I.H. Siddique and F.A. Hassan with an intention to provide education to members of the community that will help in bringing social, economic and political progress is celebrating it's 100 glorious years which began with the two-day inaugural event organised at the Anjumanabad ground on January 5 and 6 2019, followed by a year long celebrations that will conclude in December.
On Sunday, a special program designated only for the ladies was organised wherein about 7000 women turned up to take pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and services that the organisation has been rendering for a century now.
Fathima Muzaffer, (Member all India Muslim personal law board), was the chief guest of the event which was presided over by Rabia Usman Hassan Jubapu, while Nasreen Zaheer (Lead HRBP CS,Mphasis Ltd) and Dr Savita Kamath were invited as the guests of honor for the function.
Ms. Rashida Basha, the first principal of Anjuman PU College for girls, who was also expected to be present at the event, was duly remembered by Anjuman PU Principal Farzana for her hard work, passion and achievements to which the audience stood up as a mark of respect.
Addressing the gathering, Fathima Muzaffer lauded the feat achieved by Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen and termed it to be 'extraordinary' to render educational services for a century and more. She also was all praise to the Bhatkal town for its all round success and wished better future for Anjuman. She also stressed that women need to prove their talent globally as the hijab should only cover the beauty and not for their skills and talents.
Other guests of honor were also in the awe of Anjuman and its achievements over the 100 years journey and wished the organisation more prosperous centuries in future.
During the event teachers and lecturers were who have served the organisation for more than 20 years were felicitated acknowledging services rendered by them.
The event began at the scheduled time of start at 10:00 am but people were noticed occupying their seats much earlier than expected as invitees and parents arrived at the event much earlier than the scheduled time.
