One tourist dies of drowning at Murdeshwar beach, four others rescued

Murdeshwar 22 September 2019: One dead while four others were rescued by the local firshermen, after they got washed away by the tides in the beach at Murdeshwar here on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Raju S, a resident of Bengaluru. According to sources, a group of Eleven men from Bengaluru had come to Murdeshwar for picnicking. Neglecting the warnings issued by the local fishermen, atleast five men stepped into the beach for swimming. Due to high tides in the sea, five people from the group started drowning. Local fishermen swung into action and rescued four men while one person died. A case has been registered at Murdeshwar police station.
