One more road accident on National Highway brings traffic to standstill

Bhatkal - 06 May 2012: A road accident involving tourist vehicle and a lorry on national highway near Shirali injured 15 people. As a result of this accident the traffic on both sides of national highway was disrupted for about an hour. Lorry driver Ganesh (34) and 2 labourers Krishna and Shivaram injured seriously while others escaped with minor injuries.

According to the sources, the accident occurred when the driver of a tourist vehicle carrying 30 passengers lost control and rammed into the lorry which was coming from the opposite direction.

A case has been registered at Murdeshwar Police Station and the investigation is underway.
