One killed in truck-cycle collision at Yellapur

Yellapur 9 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) In a tragic road accident, a cyclist died on the way to hospital, after a truck rammed into his cycle here at NH-93 near TSS petrol station of Yellapur on Tuesday, 9 October. The deceased has been identified as Janu Ganapa Marati (74), a resident of Devasa Tataghar village of Yellapur. As per the sources, when Marati was peddling his way to home, he collided with the oncoming truck. He was then rushed to Taluk hospital of Yellapur and later while shifting him to KIMS hospital of Hubli, he breathed his last on the way. Soon after the incident the driver of the truck fled away from the spot. A case has been registered at Yellapur police station and local police is looking for the driver. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
