One killed as tanker overturns and goes into flames

Chikkamagluru 20 June 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) One person died on the spot after a tanker overturned and went into flames near Giriyapura of Chikkamangluru on  the afternoon of Tuesday, June 19. According to the source, the incident took place when a tanker heading towards Hosadurga toppled after the driver lost control over the vehicle. The cleaner was burnt alive whike the driver shouted for the help and the locals rescued him and shifted to the nearby hospital. The fire personnel reached the spot and tried their best to dampen down the fire but could not stop five nearby houses from sustaining damagesby the flames. It is also gathered that two more people were inside the tanker who sustained injuries. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
