One killed, 16 injured in a road accident in Yellapur

Yellapur 18 may 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) One killed another 16 injured after a head-on collision between a KSRTC bus and a lorry near Arabail petrol bunk of Yellapur taluk here on Wednesday late night.
Ravi Shivappa Goralli (30) of Koppala taluk is the deceased lorry driver.
Sources say that the KSRTC bus which was on its was to Ankola from Yellapur lost its control due to over speeding and thus rammed into a lorry which was parked beside the road as a impact the driver who was inside the lorry was killed on the spot while 16 passengers of the KSRTC bus were severely injured.
The injured were soon rushed to the near by hospital and Ravi was also shifted to the government hospital for the post-mortem.
CPI Manjunath Nayak visited the spot and registered the case at Yellapur Police station.
