One injured as mini truck carrying fishes overturns on Murdeshwar NH 66

Bhatkal 30 October 2019: One person sustained severe injuries after a Bolero van carrying fishes toppled on National Highway near Basti in Murdeshwar on Tuesday, reportedly after the driver lost control over the wheels. Injured victim has been identified as Raghu Moger, a resident of Byndoor. According to the reports Raghu was driving the Bolero laden with fishes and was on his way to Honnavar from Byndoor when the incident took place on Tuesday evening. The incident not only injured Raghu, but also left all the fishes laden on the truck scattered on the road. Traffic movement was also affected due to the incident and it remained halted for some time before it was cleared. The fishes were then transported to Honnavar in another vehicle. Raghu was taken to a nearby hospital after the accident and was later shifted to a private hospital in Kundapur for further treatment. A case has been registered at Murdeshwar Police Station.
