One dead, another injured in a road accident at Shiroor

Byndoor 24 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) One person dies and another sustained severe injuries in a road accident between a bike and a truck at NH 66 near Shiroor Market of Byndoor Taluka here on Tuesday late night. The deceased has been identified as Subash, a resident of Byndoor, while the injured has been identified as Chandra. As per sources, when Subash and Chandra were riding their way on NH-66 near Shiroor market from Bhatkal to Byndoor, a truck from behind rammed into their bike, killing one and injuring other. The impact of the accident left rider Chandra with critical leg injuries while pillion rider Subash succumbed to his head injuries on the spot. Byndoor police rushed to the spot and shifted Subash to Government hospital of Byndoor for post mortem. The police has taken the truck driver under their custody. A case has been registered at Byndoor police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
