Objection on putting sign board for Masjid at Jamiabad

November 21, 2015 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Members of Heble gram panchayat today removed the sign board put up at Jamiabad Road for Masjid Syedina Ibrahim after some miscreants raised objection to it. Looking at the sensitivity of the situation the panchayat Head and police officials reached the spot and after some time the panchayat head removed the board and took it along with him. Speaking to Bhatkallys' correspondent, the Head of panchayat said that permission is required to put such boards but was not taken. Locals however said that there are many illegal sign boards in the near vicinity for which an objection was never raised. Terming the act as mischief of some miscreants, the locals have appealed to the panchayat Head to give the permission to put back the sign board. The panchayat Head has assured that this matter will be discussed on Monday and a decision will soon be taken on it. - ARF
