A two-member team of the National Investigating Agency (NIA) visited the house of Riyaz Shabandari and Iqbal Shabandari here on Tuesday and pasted the proclamation notice issued by the Court on the walls of the house.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Ismail Shabandri and Shaheeda Shabandri, parents of Riyaz and Iqbal, confirmed that the NIA officials, along with the local police, visited their house and sought permission to paste the proclamation notice on the walls of the house.  The officials did not ask the Shabandris any question and left immediately after pasting the notice. Bhatkal ASP Sudhir Kumar Reddy said the team  comprised an ASI and a head constable. They have pasted copies of the notice in many other places in Bhatkal. The proclamation says that anyone can arrest the accused and produce them in the nearest police station. NIA officials from different divisions are frequently visiting Bhatkal, whenever Indian Mujahideen founder Yasin is taken into custody by the NIA officials of the respective division.
