New Shams School bags first place in ‘Voting awareness competition’

Bhatkal 3 May 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) New Shams School bagged first place at the voting awareness competition organised by Shree Guru Sudhindra College, Bhatkal. The schools and colleges from Bhatkal, Honnavar and Byndoor Talukas participated in the competition that required them to make a video skit and create awareness about the importance of votes and voting. A team of three students from New Shams School also participated in the event and impressed the jury with their work to bag the first position. The team comprised of Mohammed Unais, s/o Mohiddin Sultan Siddiqua, Sanaullah, S/o Ziyaullah Shaikh and Shubais, S/o Shuaib Durga. They were reportedly trained and guided by their teacher Mowlana Abdus Subhan. In a formal event on Friday morning at the Shree Guru Sudhindra College, the students were awarded with medals, memento and certificates for their work. School Principal, Fahmida Data, Campus Secretary Talha Siddibapa and management members congratulated the students on their win. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
