New secretary for Anjuman PU & Degree college board; Mohsin Shabandri takes charge

Bhatkal, 1 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Students and faculty at Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen’s degree and PU colleges will now be led by a new board secretary as the executive body announced Shabandri Mohammed Mohsin as its new secretary for the PU College and Degree college board. The decision was announced at the latest meeting of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen executive body. Mohsin brings to Anjuman over 30 years corporate experience, having served government and semi-government organisations in a wide variety of positions ranging from leadership positions to advisory roles. His expertise in IT and innovation has earned him a positive regard and is popularly known to be the first computer engineer from Bhatkal. In his latest role, Mohsin served as a lead for the innovation team at Etihad Airways and brought together new technologies to benefit passengers flying with the airline. Mohsin is also credited with founding Bhatkallys Media Society – which serves as a dedicated community news portal having audio and video content in English and Urdu. He has actively volunteered with various community service organisations and formerly been a vice president at BMJ Dubai. Mohsin completed graduation (BE) in Electronic engineering from Bangalore University in 1981 and completed Master of Science (MS) in Electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran Saudi Arabia in 1984, where he topped the university with 1st rank in post-graduation. Mohsin takes over charge as the new secretary PU and Degree College Board secretary following the resignation of Javed Armar, from his post earlier in May this year. Local social media groups were abuzz with congratulatory messages as soon as the reports of his selection.
