New Ramadan timings for Dubai Metro kick off today

Dubai: Public transportation services in Dubai, including buses, trains and water taxis, are following a new schedule starting today, the first day of Ramadan. For the duration of the holy month, Dubai Metro commuters using the Red Line and Green Line can take the train from 5am to midnight on Saturdays to Wednesdays, and from 5am to 1am on Thursdays. On Fridays, the two lines will be serving passengers from 10am to 1am the next day. Tram timings The Dubai Tram will run from 6am to 1am on Saturdays to Thursdays and from 9am to 1am on Fridays. More details about the transportation timings are available on the Roads and Transport Authority website. The Dubai Metro is a major transportation link serving thousands of passengers daily. Since its launch on September 9, 2009, the metro has served more than one billion commuters. Bus timings Vehicles that leave the main bus stations, including Gold Souq, will run from 4.25am to 2am. Buses from Al Ghubaiba Station will operate  from 4.16am to 12.31 am the next day and those that depart from Satwa will run from 5am to 11.59 pm, except for Route C01, which will operate for 24 hours. Buses from Al Qusais Station will start service from 4.20am to 11.31pm, and those from Al Quoz Industrial Station will be operational from 6am to 11.35pm. Vehicles leaving Jebel Ali Station will run from 5.40am to 11.30pm. Water taxis will operate daily from 9am to 10pm.
