New OMR10m factory to build communication towers in Oman

Muscat: Rohn Oman - one of the branches of American Rohn Products in the Sultanate - has announced the establishment of the first factory specialised in the manufacture, construction and development of communication towers and related products in the Sultanate of Oman at an investment cost of OMR10 million to build and equip the plant in Sohar.
The current production capacity of the plant is 28 towers per month in the first phase. The production capacity will double in the second phase based on market demand levels that are expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
The factory covers an area of 39,000 square meters and includes a storage area of 10,000 square metres and serves all local markets, as well as foreign markets, benefiting from its location near the port of Sohar.
Rohn Oman is a branch of American Rohn Products (one of the largest companies in the world specialized in designing and developing communication towers). The factory is a joint venture between the private sector in the Sultanate (40%) and the United States of America (60%).
