New DC for Uttara Kannada District; SS Nakul transferred as Dr K Harish Kumar takes charge

Karwar 21 February 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Dr. K. Harish Kumar IAS, who was serving as Chief Executive officer of Chamarajanagar Zilla Panchayat has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Uttara Kannada district with the immediate effect from Thursday. According to the orders issued by the Governor of Karnataka/Karnataka Government Secretariat dated 20th Feb 2019, SS Nakul IAS batch of 2010 will be transferred as Director of Department of Information Technology and Bio-Techonology, Bengaluru. A 2012 batch IAS topper, Dr Harish, who is popular among people for his novel initiatives in Chamarajnagar district, believes that civil service offers the best platform to serve them. Born in Karkala in Udupi district, he has a string of qualifications attached to his name like an MSc in Organic Chemistry, M.Phil and Phd. Although he served as a lecturer for a while, he later passed the KAS exam in 2006 and topped the IAS exam in 2012. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
