Nawayath Cricket League players auction ceremony held

Bhatkallys News Service Bengaluru 14 December 2016: The players auctions ceremony for the upcoming cricket tournament ‘Nawayath Cricket League’ in Bengaluru for the Bhatkalli residents, was organized with all the 8 franchise having a purse value of 900 points to choose their teams from the auction pool. The tournament is scheduled to played on 21^st and 22^nd of January 2017 at two different venues. All the teams are scheduled to play 3 league games with the top four teams at the end of round one advancing to the semi finals. The auction ceremony was well organized and was of a unique kind as it was evident from the words of praise it received from the guests. All the 8 teams made good use of the allotted 900 points purse value by securing good players and hence putting up their strategic plans on table straight away, giving the tournament extra bit of thrill. Each team was given the right to select one member of Nawayath Club Bangalore as a player, while each team was also allowed to have one guest player from Bhatkal in their respective teams. Tarique Bangali’s 330 points price turned out to be the biggest single bid. Though it seemed like Mr. Tarique Bangali from HWA an unknown face comparatively to Mr. Rahil Chawre from SUNSHINE but topped the bidding record of NCL. Clearly, all the eight franchise owners were keen and eager to have Rahil Chawre in their team, but eventually, RISING STARS, notwithstanding the constraints of a 900 points cap a franchise can spend on the players, took the bold move to pick Rahil Chawre for 300 points leaving all 7 owners maximum bid to below 300 points. Sameer Momin, Yasir Damda, and other Managers, owners of the teams were present at the ceremony.
