Navy dive teams jump into hunt for missing youth

23rd July 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Search operative for 25-year-old youth Zulkifl Faqui Ahmeda, who was washed away in Sharabi river by strong current of water triggered by incessant rains on Sunday, is still on. A specialist naval dive team from Karwar armed with acoustic equipment arrived Bhatkal on Thursday morning, bolstering the search for the missing youth. The team comprising skilled divers first carried out search operative in Sharabi river and Daranta and then later at the river adjoining Ghousia Street. The efforts as of yet to search the missing youth have all went into vain as the naval team and teams comprising local youths have not met any success. On this occasion, DySP Aiyappa, CPI, other officials, and community leaders were present along with them. -ARF
