Nagrik Vedike demands amendment of Forest Rights Act

September 06, 2015 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: In a bid to request amendments of few laws by Forest Department, Nagrik Vedike took out a protest rally and submitted a memorandum demanding amendment of laws to Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal. The rally began at Sagar Road and terminated at the AC's office where a memorandum addressed to CM was handed over to AC. The appeal mentioned that the issue of forest land in Bhatkal is turning severe and the center's Forest Rights Act 2006 is not completely implemented here.   -ARF
