Mushaira in Jeddah on Thursday

JEDDAH: The Indian Consulate in Jeddah is organizing a grand mushaira at the International Indian School-Jeddah (Boys Section) on Thursday, Jan. 28. Indian nationals interested in attending the annual event may e-mail their requests for invitation cards with name, iqama number and mobile number to mushaira2016@cgijeddah.comtill 5 p.m. on Jan. 24, according to a press release issued by Irshad Ahmad, consul, press, information and culture. A number of well-known poets from India have been invited for the event, he said. The invitation cards will be issued on first-come-first-served basis. A maximum of two persons per application will be entertained, the release said, adding that the final list of invitees will be posted on www.cgijeddah.com at 5 p.m. on Jan. 25. Distribution of invitation cards will take place at IISJ from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Jan. 27. “Children below 12 years are not allowed,” said the press release. ARAB NEWS
