Murudeshwar: Lady constable dies on the spot in a tragic road accident

Zaorez Shabab Murdeshwar 17 Nov 2017: A lady police constable of Murudeshwar police station died on the spot when an over-speeding truck rammed onto her bike near Murudeshwar Gate, when the lady cop was allegedly crossing the NH 66 on her Scooty at around 12.30 noon on Friday. The victim has been identified as Mridulla S Acharya (37), of Kundapur Taluka. According to the reports Mridulla was earlier posted at Bhatkal Town Police Station, and was transferred to Murdeshwar Police station five months ago. As per the sources, Mridulla was on duty when the she met the tragic accident on Friday. Murdeshwar police officials were quick to reach the spot and shifted her body to the Taluka Government Hospital Bhatkal for post-mortem. A case has been registered at Murudeshwar police station. The tragic accident has left two young souls without their mother for the rest of their lives.
