Murudeshwar boy secures 9th rank in CET

Bhat, who hails from Murudeshwar of Bhatkal taluka, has secured a place in the first 10 ranks in Common Entrance Test (CET) exam held last month. Puneeth, a student of Satyasai Lokaseva PU College Alike, ranked ninth in the medical/dental and veterinary science streams. Puneet scored 564 marks in the II PU examinations. His classmate, Kishore M.S. ranked sixth in the medical/dental and veterinary science streams. Mr. Kishore, who scored 97 per cent marks in II PU examination, stood seventh in homeopathy stream. He is a native of Sirsi. In all, four students from colleges in Dakshina Kannada are in the first 10 ranks in Medical, Homeopathy, B.Sc (Agri) and Bachelor of Veterinary Science streams in the Common Entrance Test (CET) held last month. This performance comes a few days after the district ranked first in the II Pre University examinations with a pass percentage of 93 per cent. - ARF
