Murdeshwar: Women protest against Panchayath administration for failing to keep the beach clean

Murdeshwar 27 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A group of women from Harikantrakeri of Murdeshwar staged demonstration at the Murdeshwar beach for not keeping the beach clean here on Wednesday December 26. During the protest, the women asserted that for over 2 to 3 months the beach is not being cleaned regularly making the beach untidy and unhygienic. The plastic and other waste left out by the tourist here has formed a heap of wastes here. "Though the matter has been brought into the notice of Panchayath administration, no action has been initiated as yet. Many awareness campaigns have been organised till date, but it is yet to yield any fruits thus far, the District administration has to initiate action in this matter" one of the group member added. On this occasion Vanita Harikant, Anusuya Harikant, Archana Harikant, Vimala Harikant, Parameshwari Harikant, Yamuna Harikant and others were present during the protest. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
