Murdeshwar: Tragic road accident kills one, injures 9 including two women and three children

Bhatkal 06 March 2018: In a tragic road accident that took place on National Highway 66 of Mavinkatte cross near Murdeshwar of Bhatkal here between a car and an oil tanker, one person died on the spot while nine people sustained serious injuries including two women and three children on Tuesday March 06.
The deceased has been identified as Appanna. While the injured victims of the incident have been identified as Mukambik Kharvi (55), son Subramanya Kharvi (30), Prabhakar Kharvi (45), his wife Nagveni Kharvi (33). Pushpa Kharvi, Sharada Kharvi and three children.
The injured were soon rushed to Bhatkal Taluk Government Hospital where three injured in critical condition were shifted to Kundapur hospital for further treatment.
Sources says that Car which was from Uppunda of Udupi and was on its way to Sirsi from Kundapur. on Mavinkatte cross it collided with the Tanker that was approaching them from the opposite direction.
A case has been registered at Murdeshwar Police Station and further investigation are under process.
