Murdeshwar temple feed thousands of devotees to mark Maha Shivratri

Murdeshwar 4 March 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Thousands of devotees on Monday morning queued up near the Murdeshwar temple to offer prayers to Lord Shiva to mark the occasion of Maha Shivaratri here in the Taluka.
People from various place including the foreigners from various countries were seen near the temple here.
The temple administration arranged lunch for the devotees in the form of ‘Prasad’.
Maha Shivratri is celebrated by chanting prayers, fasting, and meditating on ethics and virtues such as self-restraint, honesty, forgiveness, and the discovery of Shiva. Many devotees stay up all night, while some others visit Shiv temples or go on pilgrimages.
