Murdeshwar: Police raids Gambling spot; Prime suspects still at large

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ I. Zaorez Shabab Murdeshwar 22 Oct 2017: Murdeshwar Police on Friday busted a gambling racket over cockfights in Mawalli Gram Panchayath limits. Local media reported several items including Chickens, Knives, Cash were also recovered during the raid. However, Speaking to Bhatkallys.com ASI Gopinath Naik of Murdeshwar Police station rejected the reports by the local media. Naik further said, On the occasion of  Diwali, more than One thousand people had gathered at the gambling point in an open ground for betting, who fled away as soon as the Police team reached the spot and nobody was arrested. Naik also said, Police is investigating the case and for now there are six primary suspects identified as Raju, Nikhil Naik, Jayant Naik, Nagaraj Naik, Lokesh and Manjunath. A case has been registered at Murdeshwar Police Station.
