Murdeshwar police bust gambling racket, seizes whooping Rs. 56000

Murdeshwar 5 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Murdeshwar police on Thursday busted a gambling spot and arrested about 8 people here at Katagarkoppa of Murdeshwar of Bhatkal taluk. The detained have been identified as Kiran Babu Poojari(28) of Shiroor, Chandrashekhar Naik(40) of Belke, Nagaraj Naik(30) of Hanuman Nagar, Mohammed Syed (42) of Kargadde, Akshay Tandel(22) of Honnavar, Ashok Devadiga(23) of Shiroor, Shri Chandra Naik(54) of Hanuman Nagar and Balachandra Naik(45) of Hanuman Nagar. As per sources, working on a credible information PSI Basavaraj on Thursday around 1:30 pm raided a gambling spot at the forest region of Katagharkoppa and arrested all the 8 accused from the spot. During the raid the police also seized a plastic canvas sheet, a pack of 52 cards, a inverter, a wire, bulb and cash of Rupees.56,645/- from the spot.
