Murdeshwar: Alert locals rescue drowning tourist who fell off a cliff into sea while clicking selfie

Bhatkal 28 June 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) The locals at Murdeshwar beach rescued a drowning tourist who fell off a cliff into the sea on Thursday while attempting to click a selfie. The victim has been identified as Anil Kumar, a resident of Mysuru. According to sources, Anil Kumar along with four others had come to Murdeshwar after visiting Goa for picnicking. In an attempt of taking selfie from a cliff near the sea he slipped into the waters following a high wave that washed him away with it. The locals nearby who noticed Anil drowning swung into action and rescued him successfully. He was rushed to a nearby Hospital and was later shifted to Manipal where he is currently receiving treatment and is said to be out of danger. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
